NS FRITS will help to promote regional identities by supporting economic development and growth in strategic transport corridors within the NSR.

As the NS FRITS system is implemented and utilised by public bodies, the private sector and in particular the freight supply chain, NS FRITS will help promote cities and urban areas as key centres of innovation with improved physical access points.

NS FRITS will strengthen trans-European transport and communication networks providing valuable information for the freight supply chain. This will enable improved planning and management for businesses including issues of traffic flow, efficiency, safety and security.

The quality of life for people working in the freight supply chain, often lone workers, will be able improved. Workers will be provided with information in their native language that will help to reduce stress and risk in their lives, helping keep them safe and secure.

The transport and logistics sector will become a more attractive work proposition and job creation opportunities may result.
